| ![]() Sweet!! Checking the schedule but I think I'm going to try and make all of them other than the Aug race. That's pretty good for this guy. ![]() |

| ![]() Why don't the two get together, as it would be one hell of a show, and as neither makes the exact same class vehicle, they won't be treading on each other's toe's. You may get an converted Losi in the brushless 4wd class, but the HPI would probably trounce it on the weight issue, unless you drive the Losi like a battering ram. |

I would like to see the two platforms be able to compete together. That would be like having a 10th scale SC race divided by manufacturers rather then by class. One can only hope that any new arrival in the 5th scale 4wd class will be able to compete with whats out there now and whats out there now would be able to compete with any newcomers and race together. Unfortunately, IMO we are looking a politics in the toy car business. But thats just my opinion.

| ![]() the sport will never progress like that. We all need to work and support one another. We need a series of race with a real national race with a rule book to follow. This way you could have point races with a real national champion. Then maybe have a world champion race. My 2cents just a thought. |

Addict | ![]() When I first heard of the HPI west coast Nat's I was ready to go. There was no other event that on that magnitude to attend. But now that there is going to be an Horizon/Losi event that will be an open event I will plan on attending that instead. These HPI only events Hopefully will start to bite them in the ass! Reason being is who wants to leave a rig at home that you have spent thousands on just to attend a one brand event. It's been that way for all the other brands in the 2wd class for years. What saved HPI was the fact that they cornered the market on the quality, durability and speed for the off road events. Well that is all changing thanks to Losi! I for one will support open events over any segregated events in the future. I want to be able to hang out with the guys at the track and have a great time no matter what brand or class they compete in. |

| ![]() That is my plan Mel and I cant do it alone we need the track owners to come together and make this happen. Once we can do that the bigger companies will start to sponsor. its all about how much and how far are you willing to go? |

Braaaaap Braaaaap ![]() | ![]() I can't imagine where one would even start with trying to set rules for that. Although It would be good for the hobby at some point, there would have to be restrictions which everyone would have to follow. After years of racing with all sorts of hopups and big motors where do you draw the line? Do you force everyone to run the same size motor? Racing isn't competitive if one guy is running a 2.5hp engine and another is running an 8hp engine. Then you have weight, tires, fuel, exhaust and so on......... Major can of worms! Personally I think it's good that HPI is doing their own thing. At least right now. If they release a 4x4 I think you will see things change very quickly. The other part of this problem is the lack of other suitable car brands. Nutech, Redcat,FG, MCD, Hurrax are either not big enough in the states or they are too small of a company to sponsor major events. Can you imagine having to tell the guy who just bought $1000's in aftermarket parts that he can't use them on the track???? Badger is right this needs to be done by someone or some entity that isn't affiliated with any manufacturer or car brand. What happens to your parts/company when people are told they can't use them on the track? Or vice versa people are told they have to use them over someone elses. MAJOR CAN OF WORMS! |

badger, I do not want any part of making rules for anything. Since there is no sanctioning body as of now. If the track owners were to start a series they could make some kind of rules to follow. It would only benefit there business in doing this. sorry if offended any one I will just keep my mouth shut or finger off the key board.

Braaaaap Braaaaap ![]() | ![]() The Final HPI Event of the year October 26-28th has been Cancelled in Lieu of HPI's support of the West Coast Nats at Glen Helen! Hpi made this decision as they didn't want to have racers ruin their cars 2 weeks prior to another Event! |
