Default gearing options

I am thinking of changing the spur and pinion gear on my losi 5t but am not sure if mounting inserts can remain the same. Specifically if I change my 58t spur gear to 62t spur gear can I use the same engine mount inserts for the 18t,19t,20t pinion gears with this change or are their other inserts needed have noticed the 18.5,19.5 insert options but dont know the diff between say 18t and 18.5t inserts

You need to work out the insert you will need, inserts differ by .75mm and each gear size differs by .75mm.
Half size inserts move a gear only .375mm, regular inserts have that much movement to adjust so half size inserts really make no difference.

What brand pinion gear are you using?

I don't know who makes an insert to accommodate a 62t gear.

If you run a mdified rc ccenter diff mount and/or bartolone clutch bell carrier then what losi tells you is off. I will check what spacers i put on my losi for a 62/19 ratio later tonite.
