team fasteddy Droop Screw Bump Stops for the Losi 5ive-T

Droop screws play a large part in chassis tuning on the Losi 5ive-T.
The droop screws are steel and the chassis is aluminum. It doesn't
take long for the screws to gouge out and trash your chassis. Along
with that its very hard to keep a constant droop setting. In true Race
Fashion, team fasteddy has addressed this issue with Steel Bump Stops
that mount onto your chassis. Extremely light weight and durable you
will no longer have to worry about changing droop settings or trashing
your chassis and can concentrate on winning races.

Available from TGN, DDM, and Team FastEddy

You can see in his video, tutorial, they are installed in chassis where the droop screws have gouged a path into the chassis.

I couldn't get the fancy little tap set as in tutorial. For anyone else in same predicament, I have a full metric set without the handy dandy "stupid" chart:)
So I used ; 3.9 drill bit, and
M5x0.8 tap
Worked for me.

I am in same predicament. By the time I get the tap and drill and Handle for the tap and the team fasteddy droop screws, I'm up to about $45! About a third the price of a new chassie! Will probably come up with my own solution or something. Would rather spend my money on another upgrade than four screws! For that price seems the tap could be included. Not tryin to be a dick, but come on, I'm over it.

I would rather spend $45 than spend $200 on a new chassis, but that's just me.

If your just doing 4 holes you can use a visegrip on the tap. No handle needed.

Will probably still end up doing it. Got some hard rubber under there now. But that isn't likely to last long. Vise grips would be a bit cumbersome to keep the tap straight. No real LHS to speak of in my area. Like I said. I wasn't trying to be an idiot about it, guys. It's a good idea, just got sticker shock with the price.
So what is the thread pitch of those screws? Are they 0.8mm as in previous post? Thanks for the link on the Dubro set. That's actually the one I was already looking at. Might be worthwhile to get the whole set for around double the price. Between all my planes, helis and cars, I'll probably have to tap something else in the future. Sorry for the rant. I'm a bit of a cheapskate sometimes!

Its all good.
Trust me when I say I wish they were half the cost.
If we were having them made 100K units at a time they would be a lot cheaper.
Think of the sticker shock when the first 6 sets were delivered to me at the cost of 375.00
Then the cost of 125.00 for the next set of 6 after making some changes.

O-Well you know us racers, its not the cost but the value thats added in not having to buy a chassis every half season because we cant adjust our droop anymore as well as knowing the droop isnt going to change every race due to chassis gouging.
