Here's a good place to get parts and hopups for the redcat

http://www.rampagehopups.com/

The best hopup would be a tuned pipe like the jet pro or the cpi and i would change the throttle servo as soon as you can they go bad fast you don't want a run away

So i already put on a tuned exhuast.. That made a big difference. But now i want to change the gearing!!! Anyone have any idea what the stock gearing is? And if so what is it? Have you changed yours..... what did u change it to??? What tooth? Is there any other hopups that you can do to make it run faster without putting in a bigger motor...

Next do you buy that dual steering kit or buy a really servo?

I run 31/29/26/24 gearing, and personally, I'd get a good Hitec servo and be done with it. That gearing works good for our track but your conditions probably aren't the same as ours.

Yeah mine is pretty much just for bashing i guess.. so the way you run 31/29 in the front set and 26/24 in the rear set from left to right..is it pretty fast with yor set up and where did you buy the gears from? Does the sservo help or make that much difference?

With a pipe it's nice and quick without tons of bog. I'm a redcat dealer so I pulled them off the shelf. And the servo, I NEVER leave stock servo's in an RTR. Their always cheap and junk. I replaced both the steering and throttle and tossed the stock ones in my box for emergency use.

as for the gears i run 25 /35 top front which is a and b for the bottom rear 25/25 i like to run the low gears with the MT and it still runs over 30mph + i run just one steering servo the hitec hs805bb was what i run till power jam it went crazy and it goes full left now so put in a new hitec hs5755mg for steering and throttle i run hitec hs645mg

How durable are these things? They're cheap and look cool. I just know Redcat has never had a good reputation, especially for build quality or durability.

A little work, some common sense, a pipe and a killswitch and you should be ready to rock and roll.

the kill switch will kill the engine if the radio looses signal or the batterys go dead or if you turn off the radio
