Default MCD Baja 1000

Hey guys. Picked-up a MCD Baja 1000 a while back and I can't seem to get the gear ratios right. I t either revs to high or bogs so bad it almost sets the clutch on fire. Does anyone have any ideas on what gears should be on A,B,C and D positions? I'll try and match everything up with the gears I have. Thanks, Tim

Ask and Yee shall receive!

You can swap these gears around to give you either more speed or better acceleration. The rule of thumb is that the total tooth count for gears A and B must equal 63 and C and D must equal 49 for correct gear mesh.

I think it is combo 17 that is stock on the RRv4. The Baja1000 may not be too different.

Hey guys!!! I didn't have the exact gears to match the chart but it ran much better. So good in fact, it ran into a curb busting a lower and upper A arm. Every time I take this thing out something breaks on it. I know this one was my fault but it's getting old real fast. Gonna put it away for a while and run my 5B and 5T. Thanks to everyone for all the advise I truly appreciate it. Tim
