| ![]() I been looking to purchase a MCD rally and looking to convert it to electric, I haven't seen anybody report on this and was wondering why not. Can they handle 10hp or will I just be breaking parts all the time. I'm not really into gas as we're I live and run everybody seems to get upset with the noise, plus I already have to losi fives converted and a Baja e! Should I also get the completion version vs the sport? Thanks |

| ![]() The competition version is the better one as it brings metal gears. I have not had any driveline issues with any of my MCD's except loosening grub screws but, I cannot see it taking the constant abuse of that much torque on tarmac. Besides, that MCD conversion asks you to shave the bottom of the fins on the CC motor, which must interfere with its cooling. There are videos out there but if I were you I would look into the FG, I believe at the last RC show in Germany Nurenberg, they stated an electric version for 2013. |
