I believe that a lot of the v4 models do in fact share many parts such as the gear carrier block, servo tray, roll cage assembly, and several others, so that is probably where we will start for "common" parts. Then sort of see what is needed from there.

I will probably start an MCD thread soon to see what people are thinking they would like to see made/improved.

Well after a fair amount of use on my Rally car, I can honestly say I like it a lot , there are a few issues, but not more say than a bone stock Baja really, also considering that the V4 Rally is all wheel drive, so in regards to drivetrain, there is a fair bit more complexity.

Not really an issue, but check the small plunger in your gas cap, mine was not seating properly (probably my own fault here) and proceeded to leak fuel everywhere during a race, and it didn't cause any issues except for the disastrous mess it made with all the rubber dust and dirt dust off the track mixing with it. It basically required an entire tear down of the back half of the car to clean.

The dogbones seem to be a bit soft, and after some good track barrier strikes, one of the front CVD's was bent.... very strange, the material seems to be good quality, but maybe NOT heat treated?

The shock shafts seem to be either too hard, or just too small, have only broken one, but Badger has broken a few, sort of surprising since they are only like 1.5 inches long, so we are investigating some possibilities there.

Last, and really not a quality issue, but mounting the Rally tires..... F that, what a royal pain in the ass, I would not wish this on anyone (well, maybe 1 or 2 people), but wow, talk about a nightmare. I am working on a "mounting ring" to hopefully alleviate the difficulty of doing this, we will see if it works any better, should be able to test later today.

All in all, I am very pleased with the Rally Car, would like to get a second one for offroad use, raise it a little, and get the inner body to help keep the inside clean. Maybe in time

The leaking gas cap is a common problem on the MCDs. I purchased a gas cap that had a nipple on it, then attached some fuel tubing out the back of the car, but you could also just add a nipple to the stock cap and have similar results.

Yea, I was considering doing that or using a one way valve/breather off of a dirt bike, something like that.

A few of us are going to go play tomorrow, should be a lot of fun, gonna have a lot of different rigs out there, gonna shoot a lot of video and pics.
