Default Joining the V4 owners group

I have been looking for some time now on a good V4 racerunner used & finally found one !! I cemented the deal today & will have it in route to me by weeks end. Hope I get the chance to run it locally ... & enjoy the Awesome handling of these cars on a track. I plan to make my own track so I can run most of my toys on a moments notice right here at home too. It's nice to have the land for these large cars to show their stuff !

excited

This MCD car is flat Amazing, as I have much past experience with the MCD brand & it's progression to where it is today. I can't wait to get to run it, but I'm to busy right now. Not even sure what all it is to be exact, but it's a 4 bolt Zenoah with an MCD side pipe with all 5755 Hitec servos. It's a Very nice car built by a guy here semi local. I'll have to look it over more when I get back to building & making all my other cars like new again.

Here is the video of the first time I got to run one on the track. Come to think of it, it's the only time I've driven a V4 myself. Had driven all of the generations before these & know how much better they are today than back in the early days.

Thanks guys, I love it already. Just sitting it down and feeling the suspension it's great ! I'm glad it come with the pipe it did & might have it coated or something ... Might look at other options there too ... Never know, but I run it they way it is now first. Whenever that is ... Maybe spring.

heck, I plan to run my in the snow.

By the way, do you wheels or tires have vent holes in them? The ones I have don't have any vent holes in the rims or made in the tires, my other scale vehicles they have one of the other, but not sure how it goes with 1/5 MCDs.

Mine has holes in the tires. I personally usually use a small tipped soldering gun & make small air bleed holes. Just got to stay out of water that way, or your foams tend to come apart & get wet. That makes out of balance Not good. ... I plan on making a bunch of shelf queen looking vehicles over the winter & having Many different types of R/C's ready to have fun.

We'll need to find time to get together and have some fun this coming summer. I should have many choices of to run. Just got some work ahead of me this winter to get them all Renewed. Bringing the Rampage back to life again as well, so I'll have 3 different 4x4's & maybe 3 different 2wd's.

That's just Land stuff ...

interesting the foams come apart. I know in 1/8 we put holes in the tires so when they spin up the water will come out of the holes versus being stuck in the rims.

Don't know that the foams are going to instantly go bad, but I've seen many that once you got them wet at all they fell apart. MCD makes good stuff & so I wouldn't fret it. I've seen them ran stock with no modification with No problems I know of.

Looking forward to meeting you Glenn. I like hearing that someone is working on custom 1 off items such as myself & limited others. By creating new things, with nothing more that raw materials, is not only fun and interesting. The challenge of building has always been a big part of R/C for me anyway. Creating from scratch, takes Challenge to a whole new level at times ...
