did you do the plastic fork swap on the shocks? noticed on mine the shaft portion that goes into the fork bent on the front. Pretty much the issue as reported on the mcd forums. Turned them around the face the other way, probably bend back now LOL. Just waiting on LargescaleRC to get the W5 stuff in and see if they get the plastic shock bodies to get a big order in.

Yeah, I am going to order some once I hear back from largescaleRC. MCD stuff isn't cheap for sure quality or pricewise LOL but I am happy.

I did get to do some more running today, reset the needle settings to factory and man what a difference. This vehicle is a beast. The car feels good, like a 1/8 buggy. I can't wait to get it out in an more open area to run.

And I also noticed another perk on mine, it was supposed to come with 2 5755MG servos and one 755Mg servo, instead, all 3 are 5755MG digital servos. With that, I can use the digital setting on my 4PL. Pretty stoked.

I don't see any different part numbers concerning different shock shafts (assuming you mean beyond version 2).

Are you noticing slop or something wrong with the plastic forks?

From what I gathered on the forum, lighter weight and you don't foul your shock oil from the piston rubbing on the inner part of the shock body. The plastic forks are supposed to give more flex so you don't bend the shaft, but after reading more seems people are still bending the shafts.

I shot a message over to Jofer and I believe the other was turtle racing if they can help out with this issue.

As long as they are used in a Near proper maner, Which is hard to do most of the time, you dont have major problems with these bending. Bashing an MCD is like taking a Corvette on a deer hunting trip through the woods. These are track bread machines & European type racing at that. We have all seen issues with bending or breaking shock shafts on Large Scale vehicles of all kinds, especially when bashing. Don't know that there is a direct fix for this problem, but if someone could come up with a solution. I'm sure many would be on board to buy their stuff.
