Default DIY vented clutch bell

While waiting for my LOSI 5ive to arrive, i've tried to mod my Baja 5B stock clutch bell so that it'll have the vents to let out the dust and maybe a bit of cooling. This mod could be applied to 5ive, just dun cut out too much as it'll weaken the bell. Stock bell are not as durable as premium brand.

Your mod looks good.
I would be a tad concerned about unbalancing it.. They aren't perfect stock but you wouldn't want to put it too far out of balance.
The Losi bell has too many slots in the face of it to do anything with.

Yup, i see what u meant with stock 5ive bell. How's does stock carrier do in term of durability. I'm mainly into bashing, so any fitting issue with stock carrier if i opt for vertigo bells?

I think the only problem people are having with enclosed carrier is heat issues when running higher HP engines.
The ds open carrier with the ds open housing is a great option for keeping the clutch cool.

hmm...i've seen that DS items before....looks cool too
I won't be using stock CY motor for long.....it's way too under powered to carry heavy 5ive.

The ds system is cherry and I'll be changing all my engine over to it.

And contrary to what a lot of people think, if you run both the vented clutch housing and vented clutch carrier, not only will your clutch run much cooler, but it will also stay cleaner since even the clutch dust built up from the clutch's normal wear and tear will blow right out the back.

Great DIY on that clutch bell , looks like you took your time on that, great work.
