Default HemiStorm Penta fenders- Shortcourse Body

I'm very excited to announce the latest addition to the hemistorm Penta open wheel Class 1 body, the hemistorm Penta Fenders.

Many tracks have a restriction when it comes to what type of body you run, and some are afraid that running an open wheel body will make their truck more prone to damage. These were among the reasons to develop a set of fenders for the penta body. We kept a few things in mind: looks, function, quality, easy installation and cost.

You can now turn your open wheel Penta shell into a full-blood shortcourse truck in a matter of minutes. Simply undo the screws that hold the bodypanels on the rollcage of your Losi 5ive, install the fenders and tighten the screws again. We used all the stock mounting holes for this piece of kit, making sure installation is as easy as it can get. This is the worlds first fully modular 5th scale body system!

My main concern with the stock body is the price of the seperate parts. The initial cost of a shortcourse Penta might be higher, but running cost and maintaining an immaculate look will be lower than the original. The fenders will be made available separately, so if you damage the left front, just replace the left front fender. No use in replacing the hood, and the right fender, if those are still in a good shape. Furthermore, the cost of all separate parts combined, will not exceed the price of a complete kit. In other words, pricing will be fair throughout. You don't overpay because you had an accident.

Like the other parts of the penta body these fendes are made of the highest quality lexan, come pretrimmed and predrilled and come with a clear overspray film, the best setup for all the painters out there.

For a video of the guys at tgn Distributing testing the quality by sending the HemiStorm Penta flying and having it involved in some horrific crashes, which it all withstood, click on the link below:

No package deal because all the parts added up separate will equal the complete kit.
So if you manage to bust a panel or 2 you can just buy those without getting charged more for individual pieces.

Scope, I can read the marketing literature.
What I'm asking is whether or not HS would consider a whole package discount (penta body + the new fenders) as an incentive for initial customers. I realize the damaged pieces can be replaced when purchased individually and the total price would not exceed the RETAIL price of a complete kit. However, manufacturers of products which contain wear items which can be purchased individually would benefit from offering the 'whole package' for a reduced price. That way, more people would be inclined to jump into a new system (body, in this case) which would provide long-term revenue as those pieces need replacement. Otherwise, folks may not be willing to throw down $350 (HS) for a whole new body vs $250 for a whole Losi body or even less for only those parts needing replacement for their current body. If the new body system were closer in price (as an initial incentive) to the stock Losi body, even if 'slightly higher,' I would consider it. Otherwise, a $100 premium is pretty steep IMHO.

All that aside, the body looks pretty sweet!

I see what you mean now.

I didn't have a problem putting up the cash for a complete hemistorm Prnta body then spending that same amount to have it painted. I'd never buy a clear stock body to have painted because it's not worth it. The penta shell is a higher quality built body with more options and features than the stock body so the price should be expected to be higher than a stock body.

Sweet looking body, nice truck too, I wonder if it's ever been run, kinda wondering how those tyes work, strictly sand or will they work on a harder type dirt track? I'd love that body but I'd just have to use up another roll of mesh tape and 5 tube of shoo gooo to put it back together. Pretty is nice for the girl on your arm. lol Very cool though.

Damn AL what wrong today??
Haven't you seen the penta durability testing??
I'll be running my body without any shoe goo because I'm confident that the hemistorm penta body will hold up to the abuse.

I'm think the penta body will take it better than expected.
Once you get a penta body you'll understand and with it being more pieces it's makes it stronger and less prone to breaking.

I hear ya scope, it really is sweet man, just that my main bash spot is surrounded by a wooden fence, and my stock body may not win any show contests but when I get a bit wide and hook a board with a fender, the board breaks, lol that wasn't the case at the beginning for sure, bro I'd kill to have the setups you guys do out west, I'm on upgrade shutdown right now, maintenance only, that the deal to keep my balls, lol front drive shaft and center out drive cups came today too, I just want this thing to go like like a mother and take the abuse, my goal is dependability, as it's put through hell, don't mind me bro, worked 23 hrs yesterday and I'm still not over it. We'll ask santa for a penta,

It's no shelf queen, but it takes a beating and goes like a raped ape. How come your truck is so clean, beat the dam thing.
