Default Installing GFR Shock Towers

Saw a thread or two about busted shock towers but nothing from anyone that has the GFR shock towers.....so I'll show ya what I got. Looking at them makes me think that these are not gonna bend on hard (or bad) landings and rolls where the exposed rear shock tower takes some really hard impacts.

Here's the GFR rear shock tower compared to the stock. The thin top line of the stock really sticks out compared to the beefier GFR.

Here is the rear shock tower mounted.....love the mirror finish....hope to have the front mounted soon but I ran out of time getting the trucks ready to run for tomorrow.

Black, blue, and maybe red. I'd probably like the blue best.

I got to see the rear one installed today on Troysters 5. Gotta say they look really good in person, pics don't do them justice. Looks really solid. If or when mine bend or break I'll probly grab a set of these.

All about having a good time

I've seen Derek beat hell out of his truck (and shocks) and the towers have held up with no issues

Ok here is the GFR front shock compared to the stock shock tower. The stock shock tower has oval-shaped holes where the tower attaches while the GFR has circular holes (and they lined up perfectly for the install). I don't know that I ever noticed that the stock tower had oval holes before but after seeing the two towers I don't like those oval holes at the attachment point for the stock tower.

The thinner top line of the stock tower really sticks out...more so than the rear stock tower.

The new front shock tower mounted....

Also got around to installing my team chase front/rear skid plates. Took some deep chassis scars during this last weekend but this should help tremendously.
