Default Silencer for Losi tuned pipe

I recently installed a Losi 5t tuned pipe and really enjoy the performance upgrade but it is quite loud. Is there any silencer in the works? I've been looking online and it looks like there might be some options out there (possibly a ddm Carbon or Jet Pro). Any recommendations?

I haven't seen or read about a silencer for that pipe but you could make either of the ones you listed work.

Go to American RC Boats - Engine Accessories . About half way down the page untill you see -Polished aluminum T-Mod carbon fiber muffler.
I had looked into it some time ago . This may be an option for you. It may extend out further, but it maybe worth a try. You may modify it some how with a piece of silicone exhaust tubing. Just an option.

I don't see how you can get either of those two silencers to work on the Losi tuned pipe with the exhaust tip pointing down and only a few inches from the ground.

Im using the jetpro silencer on the end of my flowsystem, some mod to the silencer and it works great, still sound nice but not so high pitched sound.

Try it,i dont think you would loose much power using a silencer at all. I will try my system without the silencer later, just to see if there really is any difference, just for fun.

My jetpro silencer doesnt look like in the pictures above,i think my is made for some baja setup... a very nice silencer.

Never said it was going to be a bolt on deal but they could be made to work. You'd have to mod the pipe to exit towards the front so you could mount the silencer in the plastic side guard.

Ya, I'm thinking of cutting off the stinger on the end of the pipe, rotating it about 3 hours clockwise, re-welding it, fit a 45 degree coupler to a silencer. Then, find a 90 to dump the exhuast out a hole drilled in the side of the plastic faring. Now I just need to find silicone couplers with the same id and with the right bends!

Thanks for the inputs!

That's what I was thinking about to make it work.

Great sound, great power but only about 20-30% quieter.

Sorry, didn't mean to be negative, I was just thinking bolt on and not modifying it for some reason.

I would love to see what someone comes up with to silence the Bartolone on the Losi.

That may work for some people but there is no way I would ever have part of the pipe and silencer hanging out the side of my rig. I'd break that off in the first 5 minutes of any one of my sessions.

OH gotcha! I thought that was a metal pipe at the elbow, rubber would definitely do the trick.

Don't sweat it man. I didn't take your response negatively and just wanted to make it clear I didn't say it was going to be a bolt on deal just that they could be made to work.
