Default Throttle/ Brake servo problems.

I have a 5ive-T and my throttle servo stays in the full throttle position when i turn on the truck.
I'm on my second tank so its about a little over an hour of low speed driving through parking lots. So far so good until today when the throttle just gets stuck on full position. Only the throttle servo is stuck. The steering works fine. I also noticed that the throttle servo is a lot hotter then the steering servo.
I have all the trim and travel set to what is says on the manual and the battery is fully charged. Again everything worked fine until today.
I tried turning the truck on and off a few times with no changes.
I then tried plugging the steering servo into the throttle part on the receiver and that worked fine.
I then plugged the throttle servo into the steering part of the receiver and it still pulls to full throttle as soon as i turn on the truck so it think its a servo issue and not the receiver or remote.

Classic sign of a toasted servo.
The #1 cause of this is truning your TX off and leaving your truck turned on.
It goes into fail safe mode and overheats the servo.
It will either go out or it will go into full lock to one side or the other.

Thanks for the quick response.
i wonder why it did that though. Ive always made it a habit to unplug my battery when I'm not driving.
Good news though.. i just got a call back from Horizon Hobby and they are sending me a new servo free of charge.

Glad you posted that. Its really common sense but never even thought about it like that. I always turn the truck off first but one can always slip up. That just makes it even more of a reminder to turn the truck off first.

Stock is mixed analog and digital. You will want the slower setting. Read the manual.
If you go to both digital by changing out the throttle/ brake servo with a digital then speed it up to 5.5

I set my fail safe for throttle/brake to just stay in the center position. No brake , no throttle. If I forget to turn the receiver pack off no problem.

Not so wise.
You have a 35lb rocket.
Better to burn a servo then to kill someone.
Just need to remember to turn off the truck first.
Its like remembering to put your seat belt on when you get in the car. After a while you dont even thing about it and it just happens.

I replaced both servos with the Savox servos, so now I can run the higher speed with no problems correct? And I should have no problems? I'm running the spektrum dx3s so I believe
It's 11.5 or 16.5 something like that.
