Check your pinion bolt. I removed the pinion from the carrier last night on my brand new 5ive and it was only slightly better than finger tightened.

I've been watching your video uploads and am just curious if you've done the spring mod on the brakes yet?

There is a post somewhere, damm if i can find it. but someone put springs between the pads just like we do to the bajas, part number for the springs the poster use is Team Associated #4641 they are 12 R5 Side Springs.

In his picture it look like they are a perfect fit, going to pick some up and check it out.

Here's a spring that fits perfectly to do the 'brake spring mod'
They are Team Associated part number 4641. By the way, you will need two packages of them, because there are only two per package.
Thanx to Art henk!

Just read post of hdzrtbaja, sorry for double info!

DO NOT REMOVE THE RUBBER GROMMETS
They are there for a reason.
These servos need a cushion. Without it, they will not last as long.
Take care in tightening them to allow a good solid hold without over tightening them.
There is a sweet spot, look for it as your installing your servo.

Good find. I cut up some springs but I'll get some of these. Look much tidier!

I also replaced the nitro fuel tube Losi use on the brake cams with proper fuel tube. Much better job.

@Dustmaster
do those associated springs require cutting at all for the brake mod?

Super video.
Im just wondering who the hell "Lucy" is.
The LOSI comes with a NINETEEN tooth pinion. I had to replay that part about 10 times just because I love hearing you say whatever you it was you were saying. "ni-enn"

I love giving you shit.
Keep up the great work. Vidio and the quality are AWESOME!

Steering plate missing 2 front bolts. Check for that. They are button head.

The front center drive shaft will wear the pin at the center diff on the "Power" sides as well as wear on the cup more dramatically then other places on your 5ive..
After a time it seems to find a "Sweet Spot" and wears less as time goes on.
When you remove the front shaft, MARK THE WAY IT COMES OUT so when you re-install it you put the same pin side in the same cup side so the wear patterns are in the same place and the seating process doesnt start all over again wearing the pin and the cup even more drastically.

If you dont do this your pin and cup will start to wear again more drastically as they re-seat themselves causing even more pin and cup wear. If you want to help insure the least amount of pin and cup wear you may also want to do this on all the bones.

Fix's it up really well as it bonds with the plastic.

The body panels can get really beat up if you are a trasher like me.

But with a hot air gun you can reform the panels as they are good and thick. Heat the affected area up if the crease is minor the heat with return it to the memory position. If Nast like mine. You can mould it back with gloves on.
