Default Hostile upgrades for the 5ive

We are proud to offer the following upgrades for the Losi 5ive. Our parts are all made in the USA and you will find that our parts have some of the nicest machine finishes in the industry. Finish is as important as function.

-Billet clutch bell carrier. Part number L2000C

Retail price $57

"Race Carrier" Clutch bell carrier from Hostile. Our carrier not only looks great, but it is an open design and lighter than the competition. The stock carrier is enclosed and traps in heat and clutch debris that wears out the crank seals and bearings prematurely. Made in the USA using the finest 6061 aluminum alloy. Our open design helps keep the bell, carrier and bearings cool while allowing worn clutch debris to escape. This helps your crank seals and bearings last longer. We also use a larger bearing for longer life. Bearings are included and preinstalled for your convenience. This carrier is a vital upgrade for bashing and racing. The Losi clutch bell and pinion use a large bell shaft, keyway and screw so it is not as necessary to upgrade those components. Only when running in sand do we recommend running an enclosed carrier.

-Hostile "Race Brace" Billet front and rear chassis brace. Part number L1000F (front) L1000R (rear)

Front brace Retail price $39.99 and rear brace is $36.99

Front and rear billet chassis braces from Hostile. Our braces add strength, rigidity and are extremely light. The forces on the brace are linear with the main body of the brace so there is no need for added weight or material making this the lightest upgrade brace on the market. Only 3 grams more than stock plastic brace. Sold separately to offer our customers the option as the front brace is more important than the rear. Made in the USA using only the finest 6061 aluminum alloy.

-Billet one piece rear hub carriers. Part number L3000R

Retail price $79.99

Our carriers are machined from high quality American made 6061. The lower hinge pin area is recessed for the included o-rings that will help keep dirt and grit out of the hinge pin and bore. Superior strength, high quality and great looks make this another “must have” Hostile part for your 5ive.

Why not drill holes in the stock carrier for cooling?

Go for it. No reason not to, but holes will not flow air like our design and the carrier really needs the bigger bearings. I dont make parts just for the sake of making them. :)

I think the stock carrier is cast aluminum and probably a lot weaker!

Any word on the shock tower availability? You working on a rear one? I accidentally bent my rear shock tower today.
