Default Losi B4.2+ buggy chassis

Here is the new AJA buggy chassis i just ordered for this year events and it came today. Compare it to old stock T and last year my buggy conversion B4 kit.
It does have option for 2 diff. engine mount points and you can move diff towers and spur gear as well for better weight distribution.

Nice chassis but they should have added the additional length between the engine and rear diff. It makes a HUGE difference in the way the buggy handles and solves the rear clearance issues

The added length really helps straight line stability And jumping. You will like it!

Take a look again they did moved the engine forward almost 2" look how close it is to diff towers now. More space for pipe now.

A lot of cool stuff done to that chassis. Much better than the original. Can you tell me what the wheel base is when you get it put together? Does the b4.2 body still fit?

Interesting changes they made from the first version. Look forward to seeing this one come together.

Oh cool. This must be a new version of the 4.2. So they made a new rear driveshaft then......
Great idea!

It uses 6 identical driveshafts now like LOSB3216 . It reduces the front angle so less heat and wear at the front cup .

Ok so the rear driveshaft is the same as before..... This means the distance between the engine and rear diff is still the same as the original b4! The front has been extended using the longer shaft shared by all 4 corners.

Looks like the original B4 chassis didn't even come with motor spacers... My 4.0 chassis does.

Peg there were 2 versions of the orig b4 chassis. 3mm and 5mm. The 3mm was real cheap and could not even use the spacers because it was too thin. The 5mm was the only way to go!

That may be, but I believe Lightforce has the original 5mm chassis in his pic.

I only see one set of holes for the center diff, so I assume you flip the diff to use the other engine mount holes?

That could be it but the clutch holder would not clear the rear diff tower. Just tried it and cannot figure it out .

These conversions are really growing in popularity. I'd really like to see a domestic version.

Perhaps someone will take a leap of faith on these?

My first 4.0 is the better one 5mm with adjustment , there are 20T inserts in there but over time they are sand down so hard to see them.
