Default Hey Guys!

Just traded my E-Revo for a Rovan 26cc Baja. As far as i can tell its all stock minus the tuned pipe. Having some issues with brakes working properly but she runs and idles perfectly. Hoping to find a quieter pipe though. Any suggestions for first mods or MUST DO stuff?

Thanks!

Go run it.
When something brakes, upgrade it.

Welcome to the forums. I would put some outerwares filters on the pullstart and air filter Get a killerrc kill switch installed then as Eddy said run it til it breaks then start upgrading!

Welcome,

I suggest an HPI open aluminum clutch carrier.
There is an extremely high probability there will be clutch/pinion issues when using the stock plastic clutch carrier.
$40 now will save you $80 or more later.

Yes a kill switch should be your first mod.

Servos to swap out will help, this may be why the brake's are not spot on, I use the tgn alloy pad's with carbon fibre disc on two of my Baja's, so with the servo changed and a good brake system that should help. Doing away with the spring at the rear and fitting a piece of fuel tubing gives you a good feel to them.

i had to get a new throttle servo. The stock rovan one was terrible. I got a metal gear'd JR Racing. Was running it at the park yesterday and a head bolt broke some how and it died. After getting it back together and running it a bit i flooded it pretty bad. its sitting out in the garage with the plug out hopefully drying out. Flipped it over and pulled it a few times till it stopped splattering fuel everywhere. Also, my pullstart is being a bitch, is there an upgrade that doesnt slip? lol
