Unhappy 1/5 scale RC Car Tracks in Texas

are there any places in texas that allow 1/5 scale rc cars? even if there aren't, is there anyone that has a baja that lives in the dfw area? when i say the dfw area, i mean like actually in dallas or maybe 30 minutes from dallas. not like fort worth or arlington. i just want to meet somebody that i can drive with because i don't really have any friends that use rc cars as a hobby. i'm lonely. lol

Oh sure just cut off all us guys to the west lmao
Not really a track at the moment. 511 closed down. Mike's experimented on his 1/8 scale track but I don't think that went anywhere.
I was putting together something to race oval go kart track in Rhome awhile back but have dropped the ball.

Hi there...
I just moved from Chicago/IL to Dallas/TX myself, and can not find any place or person who is interested in Bajas, I do have a HPI Baja 5B SS myself.
Is anybody out there...

You guys still looking for Dallas people to run with? I live in the Plano area and have for many years. Have had the ss for a few years now and try to run it every damn day in any empty parking lot I can find. Shoot me a pm if anyone wants to get together. I am actually running one of ( if not the only) OBR toxic twin engines in the dew area ;)

Default New Track opening soon

I just wanted to let all you Texas guys know that a new track is opening up in Texas:

The track owner is Bill Massey. Bill was one of the original owners of the Nitro Pit in AZ. He is bringing his show to TEXAS.

This is a quote from Bill:

I want to welcome everyone to Two Stroke Hobbies Raceway. Below is information about the track and I will make this a sticky so it always stays on top.

What: Two 1/5th Scale Off-Road Tracks. Track area is 170ft deep X 215ft wide, Short Course style track with Oval integrated around the outside.

We have classes for both 2WD and 4WD 1/5th Scale Buggies and Trucks and 1/5th Scale Oval Modifieds and Late Models.

Where: 806 N. Main St. Cibolo TX. We are 45 minutes from Austin and 15 minutes from San Antonio. There is a gas station/mini mart 1/8 mile away and a Sonic 1/2 mile away. DownTown Cibolo is less than 1 mile and has Haps BBQ and Catalona Pizzeria.

When: We are working on a schedule and most likely will be racing every other Saturday starting November 5th, 2011.

Amenities: Electricity, Wash Station, Air Station, Bathrooms, On-Site Hobby Shop, AMB Timing System.

Mandatory items: Personal Transponder, Remote kill switch

That's awesome news.... Hope the new track is a success!

I wish we had a few more 1:5 tracks out here in SoCal....the closest two are
a solid 1 1/2-2 hours away. Maybe someday.

I saw a pic of two strokes raceway yesterday, a coworker showed it to me. He keeps tabs on all this stuff. The course is lade out but far from finished. It looks good though.
