Default Installing the TR diff Saver

OK Eddy, going to Brice's house this evening. Between your video and Brice as a safety net, I will be doing the tr Diff upgrade, and the phatdad shocks (if we have time for the shocks).

After watching the video of the shocks, it looks really easy. Watching the video of the diff saver, it does not look that hard, but it is a fair amount of work, excluding the work required to get the damn diff out of the buggy!

Thanx again for the Dummy's Guide to Baja Build/Repar/Maintenance!

Us boneheads really appreciate it!

Brice and his power tools will have you up and going in no time at all. He can build these things in his sleep (And normally does )Let us know how it goes.

I just left the track an hour or so ago right behind Brice. Make sure to ask him how he did. We all had a great time.

He said he sucked on the track, but it was a blast!

As for the diff, had some trouble. The cross pin that locks the cups (both halves) is riding on the viscous washer. We took it apart again, and re-seated everything and although a little better, you can feel the pin rubbing on the washer. We decided that it will either work itself in or self destruct.........

If you have any words of wisdom, I am all ears....

And yeah, Brice kinda does this stuff by the seat of his pants, between him thinking and screwing around trying to scare me; we finished it.. And now that we are getting to know each other a little better, I am finding that he REALLY likes to screw with people!

Great guy and I wanna thank him for the great help.......

Did you use the SS Diff parts to do the conversion or the RTR parts?

Brice is a kick in the ass to spend time with. Im sure you had a great time and will have more. As for sucking on the track, he didn't do so bad. Track racing isnt something that you just do, its a learned art. We all had a great time there and Brice seemed more relaxed then I have ever seen. It was a good day for everyone.

I have the RTR, so that is what I used. When I watched your tutorial, you said that if we are upgrading an SS, then you must change to the RTR viscous washers; but made no mention that any other changes were required for the RTR.

Did we make a mistake?
