This sounds like a great idea ! It will take a collaborative effort from people all across the country to compile a list of tracks. We could do a World Wide section as well if we have entries from other regions. I don't know of any complete 1/5 scale ONLY / Friendly track directories.

Lets Do It !!!! We can add & subtract as needed to a Sticky ( Track Directory )

We can start here:

Here are two Out west:

- Milestone-RC Park
Larry Cross | Larry@Milestone-RC.com
Whitney Aguilar | Whitney@Milestone-RC.com
12685 Holly st.
Riverside, CA

- Thunder Valley RC Park
info@thundervalleyrcpark.com
3851 Hill Rd Lakeport, California 95453

Many others all across the country from Coast to Coast.

Here are two from the Mid West to the North East:

- Hostile Racing R/C Park
Hostile Racing Products
8456 Harpers Ferry
Springwater, NY 14560
http://www.hostileracingproducts.com/

- The Scrap Yard R/C Tracks
largescalerc
6289 N. 150 E.
Monon, IN 47959
Sales@largescalerc.com

Anyone else know of operating facilities this coming year for racing ....

There are a couple tracks around here, but I don't have contact info for one of them yet. What about bash spots? There's a motocross track in Norman that's not afraid of 5th scales. It's at a go cart track, and he'd also like to experiment with RC racing on the go cart road course, if he could get enough guys interested in an onroad race.

Coody Creek Speedway (circle track, season already underway)
625 Arthur Av
Muskogee Ok 74401
http://coodycreekspeedway.com/RCCars.html

Timberline Raceway (offroad and circle track, season starts next month)
36902 Bethel Church rd
Osawatomie,Kansas 66064.
Land Line # 913-256-2299

Raceway RC (small ofroad track)
700 Rush Av
Rush Springs, Ok 73082
http://www.racewayrc.com/index.html

Here's another idea, you could seperate the tracks by type. You could have different sections for offroad, oval, and autocross or onroad tracks.

its funny you bring the go-kart track up man, every time i see that i think it would make an awesome 1/4 and 1/5 scale road track and would make an awesome place for a central us largescale onroad event . however i dont have a largescale onroad car (hopefully one day i will but right now gotta hopefully finish the baja LOL)

I have a few here -

http://darksoulracing.com/Track_Finder.html

I am always looking to add to that list as well. Just have not been on top of it lately.

As things are right now, he wants $15 to play out there all day with your own toys(MX bike, cart, or RC). He also rents carts for $20 a ride. I think we'll need at least 20 racers for him to start giving the idea some serious thought. He's also not going to want to close the track to karts for the whole day, so he'll alternate between karts and RCs on the track.

The good news is that he already has an AMB scoring system on the onroad track. I'm pretty shure we could get him to have a race quite easily. The major worry I have is that we don't have enough racers show up, the track looses money, and he's never interested in doing this again.

I could try to set this up, but I think we'll need to wait untill we've got over 20 guys interested. I'd actually rather have about 30 guys interested so we'll be able to have 10 no shows and still have a decent sized group show up.

I think we should start by using the place for an organized bash session. That will give everyone a good look at all the tracks out there. Give us all a chance to meet face to face. And it will allow us to discuss things like what we're willing to pay, and what we'll need the track to supply for that price.

When I talked to him about this last year, he seemed interested, but not excited about it. I'm hoping that was because I was just one guy, and he wasn't shure there was enough interest in the idea. Because I only know 2 other 5th scalers in the state of Oklahoma, I didn't think I had a large enough crowd to justify trying to set this up. If we can get enough guys, I have no problem helping set this up. I know there are already a few guys from the Texas panhandle who want to do this.

I'm interested. As it develops I can talk to a few folks in the DFW area too.

Default 1/5 scale RC tracks in Texas

I'm pretty sure I read that there aren't any 1/5 scale rc tracks in texas somewhere but I just want to confirm it. Are there any? I live in dallas.

bigmudbronco is building one now, but it's quite a drive from Dallas. He's in the northern Texas panhandle, only about 5 miles from Oklahoma. There's a track here, but I'm pretty shure they're not planning on having any races this year. They only had a few people show up last year, so they stopped racing after only 3 races. Their website hasn't changed since then, and the date they have the Free-for-all race on has already passed.

Biggiecamp, are there any tracks in the DFW metro that aren't afraid? The gokart track with the motocross track behind it is the only place here in OKC, but the little track in Rush Springs says he's got two or three regulars with Bajas, but he's not racing again till next month.
