Default windshield and side windows? why?

I did a search and didnt find an awnser. I was wondering why a person would run the windshield and side windows? Wouldnt that block a lot of air to the motor. The only reason I can see using them is snow or mud conditions. Just curious. As long as we are talking about air to the motor is it a good idea to remove the cover over the cylynder head? I know it is there to blow air over the motor when idleing but if you dont plan on sitting still much is it better to take it off?

the cover is to help direct the air over and around the head. The windows help keep the crap out of the filter and around the carb, doesn't hurt cooling at all.

I use mine to keep dirt/mud/grass away from the radio box, airfilter,
etc...

The flywheel provides plenty of cooling to the fins on the engine head,
so no issues with cooling problems.

I have the tinted ones, so it looks cool also :)

In my case I bought the clear sheild from ddm to help keep grass off the airfilter. I have the Outerwears as well, but every little extra might help. And they realy dont cut back airflow. None of them seal the area so long as peeps dont cram stuff in the gaps to do so.

Like said above the windows help keep lots of crap from coming inside and maybe damaging something plus I never had any issues with not enough air and they look cool!.
