Default Good power and quiet. Is it possible?

What would be a good quiet setup for Losi five T? I would like to try and build a track but it is going to be close to some house and would like to keep things as quiet as I can. Thanks

The pipe controls the sound and most the end bleeding pipes are very loud
A side bleed pipe is as quiet as possible while still making good power

The pipe has to match the port timing of the engine so do you know of a side bleed pipe and engine combo that work well together?

Would you say they are quieter than a nitro or about the same?

Thanks for the info so far.

X2 Silenced Exhaust Tuned Pipe Quietest

http://www.davesmotors.com/Victory-R...Silenced-.html

Adding on a optional silence to a pipe is a bad idea as You won't get it right. Best to have the manufacture put in on right.

I found this pipe the silencer is very big this is got to be very quiet. Does anybody have any experience with this pipe? I saw a video with a guy that had this pipe I canít find it now but it was very quiet.

Again adding the optional silencer is not the best option. I prefer the X2 pipe with the silencer. A side pipe for the losi 5t is not the best option. With the roll cage on you will see the problem.

The hot pipe and most pipes are end bleed??????? Only a silenced pipe will be quieter. The quietest is a pipe with a silencer.

The victory pipe with the built in silencer. Can that silencer be repacked if needed?

The victory pipe is only silenced. It doesn't have a silencer. By changing the flow direction of the exhaust you can reduce the noise. A Straight exhaust hole will be louder than a side exhaust hole. By changing the length of the stinger end you can change the noise level too but it will still not be as quiet as a pipe with a silencer. Some silencer's can be repacked but not the ones for the losi 5t. I don't have one to see how they are constructed. I do know they are cheap to add on $20-30. The hot pipe optional silencer is $65 more. You can't beat the price for the X2 pipe with silencer.

Ok thank you now I under stand. The QD pipe looks like it would be the most quiet pipe the silencer is very long. I would have to go with the losi B if I want to run that pipe.

The Qd pipe is not any quieter with out the silencer added. The silencer is a additional cost to the Qd pipe. $250 pipe and $65 for the silencer. Plus I don't like the QD pipe as it is too close to the roll cage frame. The X2 is a way better design and less expensive.

I would defiantly buy the silencer. I know it's a lot of money but it will be worth it. If I have to I will buy the losi B instead of losi T.

I am more than happy with the clone truck and parts. I'm NOT going to throw money down the drain for overpriced name brand products. It's used, clone or nothing. The X2 pipe is $135 compared to the Qd pipe $315.
