Default Fail Safe LED is on

Just got a new 5T. Charged the receiver batteries over night (about 10hrs). The fail safe LED is on, however it doesn't move the throttle servo into the braking position until I turn off the transmitter. Once the TXer is off the servo moves to the braking position and the RXer LED blinks rapidly. Turn the TXer back on and the LED stops blinking and is just on, and the servo releases the brake. I don't have a good charger yet(on order) just using the stock 3000ma batteries (ddm 5000 coming too). I'm understanding the manual and all of the many post's to read that the LED shouldn't be on unless it's working as designed.

The LED is Red. I just have the stock RXer so far. So it's supposed to always be on? That's the part that was confusing me, because I didn't think so. However it seems to work fine when I do the tests. Just didn't think there was supposed to be any light on. Ok thanks for the info..
