Question Recycling HPI 2.4 GHz radio system

I plan to upgrade the radio system that came with my 5T and Im wondering if I could use it to replace the 75MHz radio on my sons electric RC. My concern is that the HPI radio failsafe will throw the electric truck into reverse. Does anyone know if the failsafe on the HPI radio system can be disabled?:ponder:

yes you should be able to use it without issue.

i dont think you can disable the onboard f/s, but you may be able to limit its effects to near nothing.

I discovered the procedure for reprograming the fail safe throttle servo position on page 58 of the 5T manual. I installed the 2.4 GHz HPI radio system in a Traxas Stampede and it works fine.
