Default Darksoul Losi 5ive-T Brake Brace Kits

If you have been following the Losi Brake Thread, you will have read about this cool little mod by RCNightmare, to stiffen up the brake servo/servo tray mount using some rod ends and small turnbuckles. Its a great idea that works very well.

I happen to have a bunch of left over titanium turnbuckles and Traxxas M3 rod ends from a crawler product we no longer offer, and thought I would use up some of those items to make some kits for those that would like to do the mod, but don't have all the bits laying about.

The kits will be a one time gig for RCLS forum readers only, and last until I use up the parts I have left over, and will just be sold direct here on the forum. The kits consist of-

4 - M3 Traxxas rod ends
2 - M3 x 39 Titanium turnbuckles
2 - M3 x 15 button cap screws
2 - M3 x 25 allen head screws

You will need to watch the video carefully for instructions on completing this modification.

Price -
$12.00 shipped via USPS to domestic addresses (lower 48)
$15.00 international shipped via USPS (may take 2 weeks + for delivery)

You can make Payment via PayPal only to - ted@darksoulracing.com

Kudos to RCNightmare for coming up with this cool mod.

Will this make it unecessary to buy Losi's alloy 3 piece centre diff mount set.
It sounds like an easy fix and certainly cheaper than buying the Losi kit, also no date as to when the set will be in stock.

This mod removes the flex of the servo tray. Alloy diff mounts would not help the brakes much if at all.

I think I have everything to do this mod already. I have some left over turnbuckles from my Traxxas slash. My truck will be delivered Friday. Can I ask what the assembled length of the turnbuckle should be to do the mod? Will my slash turnbuckles work?

The easiest thing to do IMO, is to assemble the turnbuckles, and attach them to the servo tray, and then mark the location on the center diff assembly, keeping in mind that you need to clear the vertical belts that hold the top plate onto the center diff carriers. There really is no "correct" location, you have some room to work here, just take your time, measure twice, and then measure one more time , and you should have no problem.

Got that, but all I need is a measurement of the turnbuckle used once in place, to determine if my turnbuckles will work. I don't have the truck yet. screw eye to screw eye. If you don't mind checking.

I made little mounts for mine. Took about 15 minutes and a roto tool to do both sides.
Thanks for the inexpensive parts package
