| ![]() Tavern, it is true. We are building a track in the Auburn fair grounds. We have a RC park there all ready and we are adding a 1/5 scale track. At the moment we are waiting for the rain to let up so we can finish it. This last rain cut a big ditch threw it and we have more rain coming this weekend. The plan is to have it up and running by mid April or late April,,,,,BUT it will happen. Sorry it took so long to get back to you folks. We are taking a little more time to do it right so you folks that have to drive a ways will not be dis appointed. The fair grounds has leased the area to us and helps us when we need it. Once this track is in and up and running it will not go down unless there is a lack of intress. Stay tuned I'll get more info up as we make progress as sonn as the weather lets us get moving again. This is a links to the Auburn tracks and racing...hope it works. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Aubur...00267743347508 BTW: feel free to call me if you like. Just text me first as I don't pick up number that I don't know. Cheer's mates Kurt Cell: 1.916.995.0038 Last edited by Gone14s; 03-18-2016 at 03:33 PM. |

| ![]() Up date folks: The track will be open to run a open practice play day on April 2nd next Saturday. If you go to the link in this thread for Auburn Performance we have a video and a couple pic's of how it looks, And yes we do have water for the track, We where just to beat up to day to water it. There was a lot of work that was done. Then we did do a little testing ;) It's a 10.00 dollar donation for the day and you need roar insurance. Track will open at 10:00 am to 3:00 maybe longer. Hope to see you out there even if it is to stop by and say hi...... Cheers mates Kurt |

| ![]() Damn how did I miss this until now? Great to see a 1/5th scale off road track up and running in the NorCal area. Couple hours drive for me one way, but I'll have to make the drive. Gives me a reason to dust off the 5B and go through it. Will this track run until the rains start again this fall? Looks like I need to pick up a Trackmate transponder. If need be you can pick up a transponder at the track if needed. If you go to the link I posted above it will take you to APR and the race dates and posts. This will help keep you up to date on what is happening. Best tip I can give you folks if you should come out to race is to set up for a tight in field (Driver track). Big motor's at this time are over powered on this track.....but a good driver might be able to put a good lap time in. I few folks from down South found they where way over geared and to much motor for this track. But they liked that you had to drive it.....It really is to each his own, some will like it some wont. Cheers Kurt | |
