]]> Here at ddm we collaborated with Bruce Bennett, the owner of Stage 8 fasteners to bring a simple and extremely effective product to the RC industry. He has been making locking fasteners for years on things like drag cars, performance street cars, military drones, and more! He is a very cool guy and was thrilled to work with us on this project. He was able to take some of his existing products and modify them for use with many pipes and manifolds that we use in 1/5th scale RC.

The way the product works is easy. An 8mm 10.9 grade socket head bolt is individually modified with a groove that allows for the C-Ring to keep the patented lock washer in place. The “tear drop” washer is keyed to go over the head of the bolt in place and rest in place against the manifold making a mechanical lock in place allowing no possible movement of the bolt. A c-ring simply snaps into place keeping the washer from falling off. This system means that you no longer have to rely on threadlock for your manifold screws. Included are two aluminum collars to allow for proper spacing on pipes like the ddm dominator pipes that have a “square” type flange going into a circle. These will not work with all pipes, but most that I have seen should allow for fitment as long as you can get at them with a spanner wrench or socket wrench (like VRC, Bartolone, etc.) Installation is a breeze! I spent about 10 minutes installing it on our test mule Losi 5IVE with our dominator pipe (including taking pictures as I went).

All racers must sign up for the Team Chase RC Club prior to arriving at the compound. If you do not sign up prior to arriving you will not be allowed to race. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

Qualifying
Two 10 minute qualifying rounds will be held for each class. Qualifying will determine starting position in main event.
When qualifying for the open class, if your lap times are the same or similar to the pro lap times you will be bumped to to the pro class.

Main events
Open and Pro Class; time 25 min, mandatory caution at the half way point of the race, all racers will slow down in single file line for one lap (no passing allowed) after one lap the announcer will give the green flag and racing will continue.

Points for the main events will be awarded according to the following point scale.

Same specs as our normal full mods but tuned for more torque. This engine was specifically desinged for the Losi 5ive-T. We have installed a CY clutch and fan cover for a direct bolt up. The full mod 30.5cc has proven to be one of the most popular engines we build. With the higher reliability of the 4 bolt Zenoah engines we were able to achieve more power with out sacrificing reliability. We put all of the knowledge that we have picked up from years of dyno and field testing and came up with a monster. To start we completely tear down the engines and perform the following modifications:


1. Machine combustion chamber for a proper squish clearance without stacking cylinder gaskets
2. Reshape piston
3. Lighten piston
4. Relieve piston to prevent seizes
5. Modify intake port for better flow
6. Adjust intake duration to our specs
7. Resurface all ports
8. Modify transfer ports for better flow
9. Enlarge and reshape exhaust port
10. Adjust exhaust duration to our specs
11. Remove stock crank and install 2mm stuffed crank
12. Install all new gaskets and c-clips when engine is assembled
13. Re-bevel all porting and stock bevels to prevent damage to the piston and/or cylinder
